Praxis II Test Preparation & Study Guide
Praxis II test is part of the teacher licensing and certification process required by many states in the US. The exam is required by state departments of education for colleges and universities to measure the academic achievement and competitiveness if individuals entering the teaching profession. The PRAXIS II exam is designed by educators for educators.
Exam Eligibility
• The Praxis II exam is generally taken early in your college career.
• For individuals who wants to be a licensed teacher.
Exam Registration
• Interested applicants can register online at www.ets.org
• All applicable forms may be downloaded from the ETS website.

For test takers whose primary language is not English:
• Complete the Certification of Documentation Form (PDF) embossed with school seal over the signature or the signature must be notarized.
• Complete the Eligibility Form for Examinees Whose Primary Language is not English.
• Complete the Registration Form and submit it with the appropriate fees.
Exam details
• The exams are 1 to 4 hours long.
• Applicant may take up to three test exams in a given day depending on the length of each test.
• PRAXIS II is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge of the subject area they will be teaching.
• It also measures knowledge of specific K-12 subjects as well as general and subject specific teaching skills and knowledge.
• PRAXIS II tests are available in paper-based format only.
Exam content
• Subject assessments include 120 different tests, covering everything from Agriculture to World and U.S. History.
Test schedules are as follows:
• Session 1- One 2 hour test or One 4 hour test or One or Two 1 hour tests.
• One 2 hour test or One or Two 1 hour test.
